As I’m sure you’ve realised, the Covid19 crisis and the debates arising from it have seen a upsurge in podcasts and content which can be produced remotely. I was very pleased recently to be part of two podcasts – one developed through QUB with a focus on conflict and economic development and another for Pivotal on the leadership challenges of volatile and extreme environments. Queen’s University Belfast and the independent public policy think tank Pivotal have together launched a series of podcasts on the impact of Covid–19 on key aspects of life in Northern Ireland.
Hosted by Ann Watt, Director of Pivotal, each episode sees experts from Queen’s, Ulster University, and the Pivotal network, come together to look at areas such as the economy, leadership, and the education sector during, and after, the pandemic.
In this second episode, the panel discusses leadership during the Covid-19 pandemic. The speakers are Professor Ian Greer, Vice-Chancellor of Queen’s University Belfast; Dr Joanne Murphy from Queen’s Management School; and Dr Muiris MacCarthaigh from the School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics.
